Philadelphia Inquirer - WNBA

I was asked along with 5 other artists to create a logo for the new Philly WNBA team. I got the “Philadelphia Independence.”  I went through a couple ideas for imagery from the Revolutionary War and ended up going with the cannon because I thought the idea of it firing a basketball was funny.
